Individual counseling offers a safe, confidential space to explore emotions, behaviors, and thought patterns. It can help with a variety of concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, anger, self-esteem, and life transitions.
I provide individual counseling services for clients ages 13 and up via telehealth
Please note: I do not provide recommendations related to custody arrangements, conduct parenting risk assessments, or offer legal evaluations of any kind. My role is solely to support emotional and relational healing within the therapy space.

Family Counseling can involve one parent and a child, both parents and children, or various combinations depending on the family’s needs and goals. Family counseling provides a supportive space to improve communication, strengthen relationships, and address challenges such as conflict, emotional distress, life transitions, and behavioral concerns.

Couples counseling provides a supportive space for partners to strengthen their relationship, improve communication, rebuild trust, and navigate challenges such as conflict, life transitions, or emotional disconnection. Whether dating, engaged, or married, counseling can help couples work toward healthier patterns and a deeper understanding of one another.
Insurance & Payments
At FFC PLLC, we want to make accessing care as seamless as possible.
FFC PLLC is actively credentialing with Michigan Medicaid, Medicare, BCBS Michigan, Blue Care Network, United Healthcare, Priority Health and Aetna with more options coming soon! Once fully credentialed, all billing, copay inquiries, and insurance questions will be managed by our billing partner, Power Moms.
Cash Pay Rates: Individual Counseling — $125 per 53-minute session Family / Couples Counseling — $125 per 53-minute session

Get To Know Jake
Jake is a mental health therapist (LPC) originally from Macomb County, Michigan. He earned his Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from DePaul University in Chicago, where he also spent several years working in technology before transitioning into counseling. His first post-graduate role was with individuals and families involved with the Department of Child and Family Services at Chicagoland Professional Therapy Group. He has since returned to Michigan and continues his work at Adrian Counseling and Psychiatric Clinic.
Jake primarily utilizes Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) and Person-Centered Therapy, working collaboratively with clients to challenge unhelpful beliefs and promote meaningful change. Known for his calm and approachable style, he works with children, adults, couples, and families.
Outside of therapy, Jake enjoys traveling, cheering on Detroit sports teams, and spending time with his wife, his dog Juice, and his cat Lilo.
